Before you begin

In order to install the jWST framework basic knowlegde of application server administration is needed.

Needed software and infrastructure

jWST Framework consists of two parts, the middleware component and the participant component. These components should be installed in different application servers. In the scope of project development two JBoss 3.2.3 Application Servers has been used. If running on the same machine the port numbers should be adjusted, as described in the installation notes found on the JBoss homepage. Two sucessfully running JBoss instances is a prerequisite for running the samples.

The project makes use of Apache Axis 1.2 which should be installed on both application servers.
